Yellow Mung Beans Kebabs Recipe:
Ingredients
1 cup Pride of India Split Yellow Mung Beans
½ tbsp Pride of India Gourmet Ginger Fine Ground
1 tbsp Pride of India Gourmet Garlic Minced Whole
1 tbsp Pride of India Gourmet Cumin Seed Whole
1 tbsp Pride of India Gourmet Garam Masala Ground
1 tbsp Pride of India White Sesame Seeds
1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
3 Bread Slices
Salt (as per preference)
2 tbsp of colorful capsicums finely chopped
1/3 tbsp Onion
3 tbsp butter or oil
Instructions
Soak yellow beans in water for at least 2 hours. Drain the water.
Add the dal along with ginger powder, garlic powder, cumin seeds, and sesame seeds to a thick paste.
If using a wooden skewer, let it soak in water for an hour.
Heat a heavy-bottomed non-stick pan. Add oil and the ground paste.
Stir well until the dal changes its color and the mixture gets dry.
Remove the brown crust in the bread slices and give it a quick dip in water and squeeze the extra water.
Mash it well and add the dal mix. Add masala powders and salt. Blend it well.
Preheat the oven to 230°C. Divide the mix into equal portions. Take each portion and stick it in the skewer along the length.
Press the mixed colorful capsicums and onions on the outer of the kebabs.
Brush it generously with butter/oil and arrange them in the tray lined with greased aluminum foil.
Bake it for 15 mins until the kebabs turn golden brown. Turn it over in between.
Moong Dal Kebabs are ready. You can also deep fry or shallow fry instead of baking.
