Yellow Mung Beans Kebabs Recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pride of India Split Yellow Mung Beans
  • ½ tbsp Pride of India Gourmet Ginger Fine Ground
  • 1 tbsp Pride of India Gourmet Garlic Minced Whole
  • 1 tbsp Pride of India Gourmet Cumin Seed Whole
  • 1 tbsp Pride of India Gourmet Garam Masala Ground
  • 1 tbsp Pride of India White Sesame Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
  • 3 Bread Slices
  • Salt (as per preference)
  • 2 tbsp of colorful capsicums finely chopped
  • 1/3 tbsp Onion
  • 3 tbsp butter or oil

Instructions

  • Soak yellow beans in water for at least 2 hours. Drain the water.
  • Add the dal along with ginger powder, garlic powder, cumin seeds, and sesame seeds to a thick paste.
  • If using a wooden skewer, let it soak in water for an hour.
  • Heat a heavy-bottomed non-stick pan. Add oil and the ground paste.
  • Stir well until the dal changes its color and the mixture gets dry.
  • Remove the brown crust in the bread slices and give it a quick dip in water and squeeze the extra water.
  • Mash it well and add the dal mix. Add masala powders and salt. Blend it well.
  • Preheat the oven to 230°C. Divide the mix into equal portions. Take each portion and stick it in the skewer along the length.
  • Press the mixed colorful capsicums and onions on the outer of the kebabs.
  • Brush it generously with butter/oil and arrange them in the tray lined with greased aluminum foil.
  • Bake it for 15 mins until the kebabs turn golden brown. Turn it over in between.
  • Moong Dal Kebabs are ready. You can also deep fry or shallow fry instead of baking.
